Teen Drum Workshop

Saturday May 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 4:00 p.m.

Local musician and teacher Steve Collins leads a series of drumming workshops for teens which will meet on Saturday May 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 4:00 p.m. The focus of these workshops will be on Africa hand drumming. Interested teens can register for this workshop at the library or by calling 758-6192 (space is limited). Participants are asked to bring a drum if they have one, as a limited number of drums will be provided at the workshops. Come make some noise! On Saturday, May 24 at 4:00 pm participants will perform for the community; everyone is welcome to attend! A reception will follow the performance to mark the conclusion of the program. Collins's drum workshops are part of our Musical Journeys festival that has been made possible with public funds from the Decentralized Program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered through the Twin Counties Cultural Fund in Columbia County by the Columbia County Council on the Arts.
