Now Hiring Teen Interns

For the Health Information Project

We are excited to participate in the Health Information Project again, a grant-funded program administered by the Mid-Hudson Library System. We have six summer internships available for young adults ages 14 to 19 to view and evaluate videos and websites that focus on general health and substance abuse issues. Reviewers' recommendations are used for purchasing additions to the Health Information Project's library video collection and for linking ot the project's website.

The interns hired as reviewers must be reliable, able to work independently, and must agree to the conditions of the internship. Hours are flexible.

Evaluate videos and websites for a total of 40 hours (approx. 4 hours/week for 10 weeks) from June 30 to August 31. Optional book evaluation opportunities are available.

Participate in a 2-hour training session on Monday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Participate in a 2-hour late-summer wrap-up and planning session(s).

Participate in two group peer presentations relating the reviewing experience to a middle school health class or youth organization in the fall.

Assist library in promotion of Health Information Project materials.
